Celebration 2025 Schedule
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23 (Bonus Pre-Celebration)
- Crimson Worship (9:00pm) - Christian Challenge
- Everyone is invited to attend Christian Challenge's weekly worship and teaching gathering the Thursday before the celebration. We'll hold the gathering on campus to accommodate more attendees than usual, and the service itself will feature the ministry's global missions legacy, with testimonies from alums about how God used Christian Challenge to grip their hearts for the nations. The main speaker will be missiologist and longtime ministry friend, Jeff Lewis.
- Open House at Christian Challenge (4:00pm - 9:00pm) - Christian Challenge
- Take a trip down memory lane at the Christian Challenge building during a come-and-go Open House, featuring memorabilia/photos from throughout the decades, desserts and refreshments, and a chance to catch up with other attendees and their families. Desserts will be served at 7:00pm.
- Open House at Christian Challenge (9:00am - 2:00pm) - Christian Challenge
- If you miss the Open House on Friday evening, you'll still have the chance to enjoy it throughout Saturday morning. The Challenge building will serve as a central meeting space throughout the first half of the day Saturday, and a casual lunch will be provided at 12:00pm.
- Optional Group Activities (various times)
- Get out and enjoy Las Cruces with friends and other families. You may want to join a group hiking in the Organ Mountains, or your family may want to join others visiting the now nationally acclaimed Farmers Market downtown, or maybe you'd like to participate in a guided tour of the NMSU campus to see what it looks like since you last visited. Activity groups will be spearheaded by select individuals, and you can decide which excursion you'd like to be part of! Activity leaders will be publicized soon. - Staff and Former Staff Fellowship (12:00pm) - Bethel Bible Fellowship
- If you've ever served on Staff at Christian Challenge, join others from throughout the years who have invested so much to facilitate the ministry. We will serve lunch and reflect together on our times serving on Staff. Families of former staff members are, of course, also welcome. Please email Rachel Carr Blacklock ([email protected]) if you plan to participate.
- Celebration Ceremony (4:00pm - 6:00pm) - Corbett Center Auditorium (Second Floor, East End)
- The main event! Attend a program on campus designed to celebrate all that God has done throughout the years of the ministry. This will feature a meaningful celebration of David & April Englehart, testimonies from friends and alumni, a current update of how things are going in the ministry, and much more. Offsite childcare will be provided on a registration basis during the ceremony for children 10-years-old and under at Calvary Baptist Church.
- Reception and Dinner (6:30pm - 9:00pm) - Calvary Baptist Church
- After the ceremony, a meal and socializing time for all individuals and families will be provided at Calvary Baptist Church. There will be minimal programming during this time, with the main feature being opportunities to connect with one another and to share thanks and congratulations with David and April. [Any assistance that can be provided at the end of the evening for clean-up and resetting the church will be greatly appreciated!]
